The family of the 2nd year College student Mitzi Joy Balunsay cannot contain their emotions and now pleading for justice.
The body of the victim was found lifeless, molested and chopped up in Trece Martirez, Cavite.
The suspect was arrested in his apartment in Indang Cavite and identified as Alvin delos Angeles.
Jerry Balunsay, father of the victim, said that her daughter texted him the night before using a different mobile number and asked permission to sleep over in a friend's house so she can enroll in school early the next day.
"Nung nakita ko yung anak ko, nasa morgue siya," the emotional father said.
Delos Reyes confessed to the killing and begging for forgiveness.
"Dumilim ang paningin ko. Nagtalo po kami, nag-away po kami, nagkasakitan po kami... Makikipagbalikan po sana," said Delos Angeles.
"Humihingi po ako ng dispensa sa magulang ni Mitzy, kamag-anak, sana mapatawad niyo ako. Lalo na sa mga kaibigan ko sa Teatro," he added.
